The CERES Hackathon in Cyprus Comes to an End

The CERES Hackathon in Cyprus, organised and delivered by our partners Circular Economy Alliance and Cyprus Certification Company, has officially come to an end after weeks of collaboration, mentoring, and circular innovation.

Since its launch on February 6th, participating teams worked intensively to develop solutions addressing real sustainability and circular economy challenges. Throughout the hackathon journey, participants were supported through mentoring sessions, teamwork activities, and continuous exchanges of ideas, transforming concepts into practical and impactful proposals.

The initiative reflected the broader CERES vision of connecting skills, innovation ecosystems, and circular economy practices through hands-on learning experiences and collaborative problem-solving

More than a competition, the hackathon became a space where participants strengthened transversal, digital, and sustainability-oriented skills while working on real-world challenges together with experts and stakeholders.

The final outcomes showcased the creativity, commitment, and innovation that emerge when education, collaboration, and circular thinking come together in the same space.
